Wootton Bassett, situated as it is in North Wiltshire, is very handy for many places of cultural and historic interest, from the stone-age through to modern times. So many, in fact, that it is only possible to include here a selection of what is available both to the casual visitor and to the dedicated tourist. Within easy reach of the town are also some of the most beautiful villages and landscapes in England.
